About Colin P. Fenton

Colin is Chief Executive Officer of Curium Capital Advisors, LLC and has 17 years of experience following commodity markets. For three years, he was the partner responsible for commodities at Duquesne Capital Management LLC, the multibillion-dollar global macro hedge fund run by Stanley Druckenmiller. He is also a former Chief Intelligence Officer of Ospraie Management, LLC, specialists in commodities. He is a regular guest commentator on Bloomberg TV's Inside Track program.

Before Duquesne, Colin spent nearly eight years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., joining the commodities research group in 1996 as an original member. He was a founding co-author of that group's Commodity Watch, Energy Weekly, Energy Watch, Metals Watch, and Agriculture Watch research products, and also worked extensively on Goldman's research into commodities as an asset class. In February 2002, he was a lead author of the "Revenge of the Old Economy" report that launched Goldman's thesis on the structural underinvestment in commodity industries, which remains an active investment view at Goldman today. In January 2001, he was the lead author of an analysis "A bull market missed" that was among the first to highlight China's fast-growing weight in commodity markets.

From 1994-95, Colin was the research assistant to Ambassador Chester A. Crocker, the former US assistant secretary of state for African Affairs. He holds an MSFS from Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and graduated from Princeton University, where he earned magna cum laude honors in history and a certificate in European Cultural Studies.
